BAD2009- It was a Success!

October 18th, 2009 by AGT

155 countries across six continents wrote about a single issue that impacts us all and turned Blog Action Day 2009 into one of the largest social change events ever held on the web.

A pretty impressive day with 32,000 total trackable blog posts with a current estimate of 18 million people participating. UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown blogged and even President Barack Obama’s White House blog joined in.

This is a time for us all to continue our collective effort to remain involved in the movement to address climate change.

Ways to get active:
1. Sign an “I am ready” pledge supporting an ambitious, fair and binding climate agreement in Copenhagen this fall at Tck Tck Tck.
2. Join All Green Things for the 350.org International Day of Climate Action October 24.
3. Join the Causecast community and find new ways to get involved with organizations working to end climate change.
4. Support strong climate legislation in the US by making calls to your Senators with 1Sky.
